Reset your Goals
A simple mindset that will change your priorities.

Reset Your Goals: From Failure to Success
Everyone has goals, but many people fail to achieve them.
There are countless reasons why this happens, but we’re not here to dwell on that. Instead, we’re here to reset our goals and turn failures into successes.
If your goals currently look like this:
Goal 1 ✗
Goal 2 ✗
Goal 3 ✗
We’ll transform them into this:
Goal 1 ✓
The Power of Focused Effort
But what if you have many goals? That’s perfectly fine. However, we as humans aren’t great at multitasking, but we excel at focused work. The key is to start with one goal and move to the next only after completing the first. This approach prevents overwhelm and sets you up for success, one step at a time.
The SMART Goal Template
To help you reset and refocus, here’s a simple template for setting a SMART goal. SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound—a proven formula for achieving what you set out to do.
The Template:
I will [specific action] by [measurable outcome] within [time-bound deadline], by [specific process or steps], to achieve [relevant result or impact].
Example:
I will complete a 5k run by running 30 minutes daily within 3 months, by following a structured training plan, to improve my stamina.
Your Next Steps
Now that you understand how to set a SMART goal, fill out the template with your own specific goal. Once you’ve done that, give the template to ChatGPT and ask it to create a monthly schedule for you to follow.
Example:
You: “ChatGPT, here’s my SMART goal: I will complete a 5k run by running 30 minutes daily within 3 months, by following a structured training plan, to improve my stamina. Can you create a monthly schedule for me?”
ChatGPT Response:
Week 1-2: Walk 10 minutes, run 20 minutes daily.Week 3-4: Walk 5 minutes, run 25 minutes daily.Week 5-6: Run 30 minutes daily with a mix of speed and endurance sessions.Week 7-8: Increase intensity with interval training; run 35 minutes daily.Week 9-12: Full 5k runs 3-4 times a week with recovery runs in between.
The Hard Part: Following Through
Now, all that’s left is to follow the plan. Sounds easy, right? But here’s where many people stumble—they don’t take these programs seriously. They doubt that what they want could be achieved so simply, and they look for more complicated solutions.
The truth is, the only way to achieve your goals is to stick to a logical plan and follow it all the way through. If you don’t see it to the end, you’ll never reap the rewards.
And as Nike says: Just do it.
Reset your goals today, and take that first step toward turning your aspirations into achievements.
